A selection of typical projects delivered by our founder on some of the UK's largest transport and defence programmes.

  1. 2019 – 2025

    Crossrail project

    Technical assurance services for the Crossrail project, under a fixed contract with MMRA Ltd, an independent company within the Mott MacDonald Group, and on secondment to Transport for London (TfL). Then the largest engineering infrastructure project in Europe, Crossrail created a new 100 km railway from Reading and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east, including 42 km of tunnels under central London, at a cost of £17.6 bn.

  2. 2015 – 2017

    Network Rail stations, Kent route

    Secondment, from April 2015, to VVB, a Tier 1 E&M design-and-build subcontractor to Costain. Costain was appointed by Network Rail in April 2014 for a five-year period as Multi-Functional Framework (MFF) supplier for Infrastructure Projects Southern (IPS) on the Kent route, in South East England.

  3. 2013 – 2014

    Custom House station, DLR – Crossrail interface

    Consultant for DLRL (Docklands Light Railway), responsible for E&M design assurance on the interface with the new Crossrail station and train service.

  4. 2011 – 2013

    Bond Street station upgrade

    Sub-consultant to WS Atkins plc, responsible for E&M design for the joint-venture consulting engineers WS Atkins plc and Halcrow (part of CH2M Hill), working for the joint-venture main contractor Costain and Laing O'Rourke on the redevelopment of the existing station to accommodate a new train service.

  5. 2008 – 2010

    St Athan Defence Technical College

    Consulting engineer with Cundall, responsible for E&M design for the masterplan.

Our founder's African origins drive our commitment to the African continent, especially the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where he was born.

Dulmel Limited fully supports the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA), developed by the African Union Commission (AUC) in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB), the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the Regional Economic Communities (RECs) of Africa.
